The H269 armchair is one of the most famous designs by Jindřich Halabala and is rightly described as an icon of Czech furniture design of the First Republic. Thanks to its comfort and elegance of form, it was very popular both at the time of its creation and now. It was still in mass production in the 1950s, but now it is very hard to find and all the more desirable.

These are period originals that have been completely restored. The body of bent beech wood has been strengthened, hand sanded, re-stained in a dark brown tint and given several coats of hard wax oil. The upholstered parts were replaced, the spring springs were rebalanced and the chairs were upholstered in soft corduroy.
